How scoring works

Every round is worth up to 100 points before its multiplier. How many you get depends on one thing: how far your pin is from the real place.

Distance

Inside 25 km counts as exact. After that the score falls away smoothly — there is no cliff and no hard zero, so a wild guess on the wrong continent still earns something.

Right country, wrong city usually lands in the 80s or 90s. Right continent, wrong country is roughly 50 to 80.

Multipliers

The rounds get harder, so the later ones count for more. A perfect game is 1,000.

The continent bonus

Land on the right continent and you get 3 extra points before the multiplier. An ocean tap gets nothing, which is why a perfect game can read a little over 1,000.

The hint

One a day. It names the continent of the round you are on, and only that round — you cannot read ahead with it.

Scores are worked out on the server. Your browser is told the distance after you commit, never before.
